In co-operation with the Division of Neurology (Hospital for Sick Children), the Epilepsy Research Fund of Canada, Kinsmen/Kinette Clubs, and Epilepsy Chapters in Ontario, Epilepsy Ontario is pleased to announce the fourth Summer Camp for children with epilepsy at Camp Couchiching, Longford Mills, Ontario.

The 1998 camp is scheduled for two weeks, from Sunday 28 June to Sunday 12 July 1998. One week options are also available.

Children with epilepsy, between 7 and 16 years of age, will be considered for the experience. Children must want to attend and be able to function independently in the activities of daily living (toilette, washing, dressing, etc.).

Additional professional medical staff will be in attendance during the two weeks the camp is operating.

Applications forms may be obtained from Epilepsy Ontario: they must be returned before 30 March 1998. Acceptance letters will be sent to all campers on 15 May 1998.

Two-week opportunities cost $775. One-week opportunities cost $415. Fees include all camping equipment and supplies, health care, food and accommodation. "Tuck" money ($20 per week suggested) and bus transit to and from Toronto ($30 round trip) is not included.

A deposit of $100 per week is required, with the remainder payable by 30 April 1998. Financial assistance may be available from Epilepsy Ontario. Completion of a sponsorship request form, approval, and membership in your local chapter is required.

After 30 March, all applications (letters of intent and medical forms) will be processed on an individual basis, pending open positions.
