Summer 2003 - Spike and Wave campShaun Gilbert
Summer camp brings experiences and memories that children will cherish for the rest of their lives. The Spike and Wave summer camp program is designed to allow kids, between the ages of 7 and 16, with epilepsy to participate in recreational activities such as archery and kayaking, while maintaining a safe environment to accommodate their special needs. Professional medical staff will be available to provide 24-hour healthcare to the individuals involved in the program. This ensures that your child will have both a safe and enjoyable summer holiday.
The number of campers allowed is limited, so we encourage parents to register their children early. Registration will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis. The program is being held in camps across Ontario for 1 or 2 week periods throughout the summer. This opportunity is available to children whose families are members of any epilepsy chapter in Ontario. Subsidies are available.
Applications will be available January 15, 2003.
