Job Connect
Information and Referral Service (IRS) provides access to local labour market information and job search support to help people find work and training on their own.
Employment Planning and Preparation Service (EPP) provides workplace assessment, job shadowing, volunteerism, skill development workshops, group work or intensive individual instruction, which helps individuals in a variety of different areas.
On-the-Job Training Service (OJT) at St. Lawrence College provides an opportunity to training in the workplace related to the individual's career and training goals. The primary focus in this program is training, which builds on the preparation from the EPP program.
Eligibility
IRS is a drop-in, self-directed service primarily for unemployed individuals.
EPP and OJT participants must be:- a resident of Ontario
- at least 16 ( 16-24 for OJT )
- eligible to work in Canada
- out of school and not participating in any other training program
- not receiving Employment Insurance Benefits,
- nor eligible for Workers Compensation Board benefits

Career Assessment Program
This program incorporates standardized and non-standardized assessment tools to gather data to assist with career decision making. A review of existing skills through analysis is done. Areas of strength and improvement are determined, in order to be open to alternatives.
Work Skills Assessment
This 2-week assessment, utilizing simulated workstations, is basically an aid to career exploration.

Job Search Assistance
This is one-to-one job search assistance and counselling to assist an individual client.
Components of the program include:- preparation of résumé and covering letter
- job search and job interview techniques
- contact with perspective employers and clerical support.
Labour Adjustment & Out-Placement
This service assists with:- goal setting
- enhancing job search skills
- résumé preparation
- information on resources available in the community
- career assessment
- counselling
- secretarial support.
