Charity Players present "Godspell"

Charity Players is proud to announce its upcoming presentation of the successful Broadway and Off-Broadway show, Godspell. Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, Godspell uses music, dance, clowning, puppetry, storytelling and magic to keep its audience enthralled from the beginning to the end. Written by John-Michael Tabelak with music by Stephen Schwartz, Godspell aims (and succeeds) at bringing the life of Jesus and his message of love alive. Featuring the songs Turn Back O' Man, We Beseech thee, and Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord, Godspell promises to delight and entertain audiences of all ages.

Charity Players: 'theatre for a good cause' is just that; a company seeking to combine its members' love of performance with their desire to give back to their community. Produced by Dr. McIntyre Burnham, president of the Bloorview Epilepsy Research Group at the University of Toronto, all proceeds from Godspell will go to the Bloorview Epilepsy Research Program.

Performed by an enthusiastic cast of talented, experienced young adults, performances are held at The George Ignatieff Theatre, Trinity College at the University of Toronto from April 24, 2003 to May 3, 2003. Tickets are $18.00, and $10.00 for children under 12 years of age.

Seating is limited so please call the Absolut Central Box Office at (416) 504 - PLAY or log on to the Absolut Central Box Office at www.torontoboxoffice.ca for reservations and more information.
