For the last two years Epilepsy Ontario, in conjunction with Epilepsy Canada and Lundbeck, have distributed scholarships to deserving students across the Ontario and we are happy to announce the 2005 Epilepsy Scholarship awards.
To qualify for the awards the applicant must be a student between the ages of 16 and 29 who will be attending post-secondary education for the 2005-2006 school year and are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. They must be currently under the care of a neurologist for seizures.
As part of the application process each student is asked to submit a short essay of approximately 1200 words in length on the topic of How I can personally help to increase epilepsy education in my community. You can read one of last year's winning essays by clicking here.
